A number of those stories involve your search to rescue the king's pursuit to save himself from his rival, Queen Catherine. Another narrative focuses on a connection between two distinct characters. In the end, there's a final narrative that involves your personal narrative. This last area of the game is known as the Endless Fall, which involves you after a deadline that leads to your death. However, because the game takes place over the course of two decades, there is no way for you to actually get to there, but it's likely to look at the game in a journal and see your own progress.
From the Hearts Stories you play, you need to pick between two very different endings. The very first one, called the True End, is the path that permits you to rescue the King Henry from their issues. But when you fail in this job, you can't return to the past and make a choice later on. Instead, the choice you make will always remain in your current.
